Service Writer
A Service Writer with our company is the pivotal point of all communication within the organization.
Working with the customer to properly indentify the work needed and authorized is the basis of that work.
Recording the work authorized and required within the work order system and then clearly identifying the body of the work to the foreman, service manager and the technician assigned is a key component.
Identifying any parts that may need ordered and looping in the Parts Department rounds out the first step in the communication process.
The service writer keeps tabs on all work in process, coordinates the movement of units and employees, and assists in the efficient flow of work.
The Service Writer will keep the customer informed on the units progress through the shop and ultimately delivers the work to a customer designated employee, going over the work performed and insuring the work was done as agreed.
After the unit is delivered the Service Writer documents all the work performed, insures all parts have been included and then calculates efficiency for that work product.
The Service Writer will perform a wide range of duties within the organization and should be the first to say I CAN when a job needs done.
A well rounded Service Writer can progress within the ranks of management if that is what she/he wants thorugh dedication to the work product of the company.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
